Sell Your Coins in Media & Delaware County
If you're in Media, Swarthmore, Wallingford, Springfield, Broomall, Havertown, Drexel Hill, Newtown Square, Ridley or anywhere else in Delaware County, you don't need to bring a coin collection to us. We drive out. Our office is in Jenkintown, under an hour away by the Blue Route, and house calls are free for collections and estates.
When the collection is part of an estate
Delaware County estates are handled by the Register of Wills at the Government Center on West Front Street in Media. That office is also where the Pennsylvania inheritance-tax return is filed, and the return reports a coin collection at its value on the date of death. If the executor needs that number in writing, we prepare itemized estate coin appraisals, and the fee is credited if the estate later sells the collection to us.
Before we arrive
Leave everything where it is. Coins in a mint set, a bank roll or an old album can be worth more in that packaging than loose, and a cleaned coin loses value that can't be recovered. Notes and receipts in a desk drawer help too, so keep them with the coins.
What happens at the visit
We go through the collection with you, tell you plainly what's valuable and what's common, and give you a rough estimate. If you want to sell that day, we make an exact offer on the spot and pay you then. If not, there's no obligation.
