The courthouse is down the street

If you're an executor here, you're already close to the Montgomery County Register of Wills in Norristown, where the estate is probated and the Pennsylvania inheritance-tax return is filed. The return lists the coin collection at its value on the date of death. Our estate coin appraisals give you that number in writing, item by item, and the fee is credited if the estate later sells to us.

Honest answers first

Plenty of what we're shown is ordinary: circulated pocket change, modern proof sets, bullion bought at a high. We'll say so before you spend time on it. The money usually sits in the gold, the silver dollars, the key dates and the better-grade coins, and we'll point those out.
