One river, two counties

This stretch of the valley splits between Montgomery County (Pottstown, Royersford, Collegeville, Limerick) and Chester County (Phoenixville, Spring City). An estate is probated in the county where the person lived: the Register of Wills in Norristown for Montgomery, or in West Chester for Chester County. Either way, Pennsylvania's inheritance-tax return values the coins as of the date of death, and our estate coin appraisals give the executor that figure in writing. The fee is credited if the estate sells to us.
