Sell Your Coins in Lancaster & Lancaster County
Lancaster sits near the outer edge of where we travel, about an hour and a half from our Jenkintown office, and we still make the trip for collections and estates: Lancaster city, Lititz, Ephrata, Manheim, Elizabethtown, Mount Joy, Strasburg, Millersville and the rest of the county. For a single coin or two, photos are quicker; for a real collection, we come to the house at no charge.
Why the drive is worth it for you
A collection is usually worth the most to a buyer who sells to collectors directly, because there's no wholesaler in the middle taking a cut. That's how we work. It also means we can pay for the scarce dates and better-grade coins that a general buyer might lump in with the silver.
Settling a Lancaster County estate
Lancaster County estates go through the Register of Wills at the county courthouse on North Duke Street, which is also where the Pennsylvania inheritance-tax return is filed. That return values the collection on the date of death. Our estate coin appraisals give the executor an itemized, signed figure, and the fee is credited if the estate later sells to us.
Before you call
Leave the coins as they are: no cleaning, and keep them in their original holders, albums, rolls and boxes. Then send front-and-back photos through our Sell To Us page or call 215-576-7272. We'll tell you honestly whether it's worth a visit.
